Congratulations to Dr. Warren Lanphear, President Elect of the Michigan College of Emergency Physicians!
Dr. Lanphear was an intern when ECS was founded in 1984 and joined the group of 12 members in 1989. Prior accomplishments include 14 years as a core faculty member of what is now the Spectrum Health/Michigan State University Emergency Medicine Residency and 8 years as President of ECS. Dr. Lanphear has been an MCEP member since 1984 and serves on the MCEP Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He is currently practicing emergency and observation medicine working in Spectrum Health’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital and Butterworth Hospital as well as rural EM at Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital. Without a doubt, Dr. Lanphear’s breadth of experience will serve MCEP members well when he takes the reigns in July of 2019!
